Shrek Logo - Tile - ColorSHREK the Musical, based on the Oscar® winning DreamWorks film that started it all, brings the hilarious story of everyone’s favorite ogre to dazzling new life on the stage. In a faraway kingdom turned upside down, things get ugly when an unseemly ogre–not a handsome prince–shows up to rescue a feisty princess. Throw in a donkey who won’t shut up, a bad guy with a SHORT temper, a cookie with an attitude and over a dozen other fairy tale misfits, and you’ve got the kind of mess that calls for a real hero. Luckily, there’s one on hand… and his name is Shrek.

Performances: August 1-17, at Ohlone College’s Smith Center for the Performing Arts

Thank you to everyone who auditioned for SHREK! This has been one of the toughest shows to cast and I appreciate everyone’s patience as we worked things out. I am so sorry if you did not get cast this time or you are disappointed in your role.  Please remember it’s only one show and don’t ever let it get you down. Keep dreaming, keep on believing in yourself, and keep letting your “Freak Flag” wave!

Below is the cast list. Every person will have roles next to their names that we know at this time. Other roles will be decided at rehearsals which include: Extra Fairy Tale Characters, Guards, Courtiers, Wedding Chorus, Knights, Dragon back –up singers, Puppeteers. I am going to try my hardest to get everyone into “Freak Flag” (the theatre anthem!).

Please email: starstruckoffice@gmail.com by Wednesday April 16th to accept or decline your role.
