Auditions

Announcing auditions for StarStruck Theatre’s production of Annie.

Annie performances will run January 8-23, 2011 at the Smith Center at Ohlone College in Fremont. Tuition fee required – some scholarships available. Twenty volunteer hours per family required. Ages 7-20 years old.

Character Descriptions

All auditions are by appointment only. To schedule an audition, please call (510) 659-1319 or sign up online below. When leaving a message, please include your name, telephone number, day and time you’d like to audition.

Audition Dates:

• Saturday, September 18, 10am - 11am - Ages 7-12
• Saturday, September 18, 11am - 12 noon - Ages 7-12
• Saturday, September 18, 1 pm - 3 pm - Ages 12 and up
• Saturday, September 18, 3pm - 4 pm - Ages 7-12
• Saturday, September 18, 4pm - 6 pm - Ages 12 and up 
• Sunday, September 19, 3pm - 4pm - Ages 7-12
• Sunday, September 19, 4pm - 6pm - Ages 12 and up
• Sunday, September 19, 6pm - 8pm - Open to any age
   
• Monday, September 20, 7pm - 9pm [at this time we are not taking reservations for this date. It will be used only if needed.]

Callback Dates

• Wednesday, September 22, 7pm - 9pm

Please prepare a 1-2 minute song – not from the show – that showcases your vocal range.  Bring  sheet music in your key (no tapes accepted), and comfortable shoes and clothes to dance in. Only ages 12 and up will be taught a dance. Children ages 7-12 will only be required to dance at callbacks.  Everyone will read a few lines from the script which will be provided.  Please arrive 15-20 minutes early to register and have your photo taken. If you are auditioning for an orphan you must look elementary-school aged and be shorter than 5’1”. If you are 12 years old and 5’1”or under, please attend the 7-12 aged category. If you are 12 and over 5’1” please attend the 12 and up auditions.  Please download all paperwork and bring the completed paperwork with you to the audition.

*Please Note: We are also auditioning for our new Show Choir “Showstoppers” at the same.  There will be a place to mark on your audition form if you would like to be considered for this group.
